It's been slow going reading and digesting a whole bunch of books on the topic of race car engineering - not for the fainthearted.
So far I've finished Race Car Vehicle Dynamics by William and Douglas Milliken, an 839 page tome on design. Then I followed up with Engineer to Win, Prepare to Win, and Tune to Win by Carroll Smith. Next on the list is Screw to Win. At least that's what I heard it was originally going to be titled. Instead it ended up as Carroll Smith's Nuts, Bolts, Fasteners and Plumbing Handbook.
In the mean time I've also read the rules over, started reading Racing and Sports Car Chassis Design, and collecting some sketches and ideas for the car. After that I'll put the books down and start mocking up the chassis.
